"Infrastructure of 18 airports must be repaired until the end of the year, 16 more next year. Significant funds are allocated from the federal budget for the purpose, 40 billion rubles in 2023 to repair 18 landing strips and 35.5 billion rubles to repair 16 more in 2024," Putin said.

He added that 229 billion rubles were spent on the aviation industry development over the last 18 months, the amount was set depending on the “current reality”.

According to the president, Russia cannot limit itself to mere preservation of the industry.
